Speaking Engagements & Educational Events

Schaumburg High School — March 26, 2014

I spoke with students about the social issues affecting women and society, including stalking, objectification, and violence against women. My mission was to educate and empower teenagers to recognize harmful behaviors, understand early warning signs, and advocate for themselves and others. Students shared heartfelt thank‑you notes expressing how the conversation impacted their understanding and awareness.

Kankakee Public Library — October 17, 2013

Hosted by Harbor House and the Kankakee Public Library, this event brought together community members who knew my children and supported my journey. I shared my story of survival, resilience, and advocacy. The evening was powerful and deeply emotional, leaving a lasting impact on attendees. This event highlighted the importance of community awareness and the need for stronger protections for victims of domestic violence and stalking.

Healing Hearts Domestic Violence Awareness Tele‑Summit — October 12, 2012

I joined national advocates and survivors to discuss domestic violence awareness, prevention, and survivor empowerment. This virtual summit provided education, resources, and support for individuals navigating abusive relationships and for professionals working in victim services.

Poetic Performance & Composition

In addition to speaking, I perform original poetic works and dramatic readings. My “Poetic Inclusion” sessions immerse audiences in the creation of poetry through music, reflection, and shared emotional experience. These performances offer a unique way to explore healing, resilience, and human connection.
